Sugar Free Ketchup

What are French fries, hotdogs, and hamburgers incomplete without? Ketchup, that's right. You have  to have ketchup with certain foods or else your meal or snack is tasteless and incomplete. Everyone, regardless of age, gender, or culture is a fan and can't live without it. To be honest, I have never found one person who claims of not being head over heels for ketchup. However, people diagnosed with diabetes or any other illnesses that requires a reduce in sugar intake, may complain that they don't get to eat ketchup as much as they want to. It's not a great feeling when you're asked to give up on something you enjoy eating so much. And you don't have to because you can you can make ketchup right in your kitchen. We have different homemade sugar free ketchup recipes  for those who are not allowed to eat store-bought ketchup but can't imagine their lives without it. Let's have a look, shall we.ketchup

Crockpot Sugar Free Ketchup Recipe

Ingredients

* 1 can organic tomato puree
* 1 small onion, coarsely chopped
* ½ cup apple cider vinegar
* ¼ cup organic brown rice syrup
* ¼ teaspoon allspice, ground
* ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, ground
* ¼ teaspoon mace, ground
* ¼ teaspoon ginger, ground
* ¼ teaspoon cloves, ground
* ¼ teaspoon red pepper, ground
* Salt and black pepper, for taste

Directions

In a crockpot, add all the ingredients in, except for the salt and black pepper. Mix everything properly, place a cover on top, and let it cook for about 2½ hours on medium-high heat. Keep stirring from time to time. After the allotted time is over, take the cover off and use a hand blender to puree everything thoroughly. Add salt and black pepper according to your taste and again cook the mix for 30 minutes or so, without the cover this time. Keep stirring from time to time. Once you ketchup is thick enough, turn the heat off and let it cook before you transfer into a bottle.
